Still Going On, One Year Later!

Here we are, almost one year later and people are still trying to overturn the election. One year later.

It seems the best way to overturn the election is to convince certain members of state governments are asking for audits but on their terms.

They hire people and companies who have never, ever dealt with elections before. They have no training, no credentials, and yet they are being trusted to conduct a proper audit. Hmmm, isn’t that like hiring someone to teach who has no training or represent someone in a court of law who comes with a few books hoping to defend their client.

We sat through the debacle in Arizona. They hired a company with no experience. They struggled and did so many things wrong including getting into sealed machines. They insisted on looking at all the ballots, even to the point of checking the paper. In the end, they found more votes for Biden. It took way longer than predicted and cost so much more.

Now they are trying the same thing in Wisconsin. They hired another person who has never been trained to participate in elections. He is totally inexperienced, just like the Cyber Ninjas. In addition, there seems to be some question about its being legal and ethical.

If this had been in the mid to late 1800’s, there would have been voter fraud. Voter fraud appears to have been common but in the last decades, the government has passed laws to cut down on fraud. But it is 2021 for God’s sake.

This is also the first time, we have had a president lose the election who is totally convinced that he lost because there was enough voter fraud to prevent him from winning. He is the first president, I am aware of, in history who did not step down graciously but has kept insisting he actually “won”.

It doesn’t matter that counties have to follow strictly regulated voting procedures. It doesn’t matter that they conducted checks to determine if the votes were accurate. It doesn’t matter that the voting machines are designed to be more secure than your phone.

What matters is that enough people believe in Trump and his claims to hire inexperienced people with public money to “prove” the election was fraudulent. Others are willing to open machines to others exposing numbers. How do we know that the voter results haven’t been tampered with or changed?

This whole thing is ridiculous and could potentially undermine confidence in an electorial system that has worked well up to know. I for one think we should stop hiring inexperienced people to conduct “audits”, accept that the election results are good and move on. The longer we continue this mockery of democracy, the more damage we do to the fiber of our country.

I realize many people will not agree with my comments but I am sick and tired of seeing a man push his infantile views because he didn’t get what he wanted. It is like watching a child throw a temper tantrum because they didn’t get their way.

The only thing I can say at this point is to grow up. If you believe he was robbed of his due right, give it a rest and work at getting him reelected in 2024. Let this country move forward and heal. Let me know what you think, I’d love to hear. Have a great day.
