I Would Love To Travel In Time

Yes, you read that correctly. I want to travel back in time but probably not for the reasons you think. I am not interested in going back to change history, to get in on the bottom floor of a business like Apple, or even create something before the original founder is able to.

I want to go back in time to simply observe what life was like at that point. I’d love to see what Chicago looked like in the roaring 20’s, Paris in the late 1890’s, or even the vikings back in the 900’s. I want to see them, observe them to learn more about them.

I do not want to actually materialized in the location. I want to be able to observe from just outside the time stream. I’d like to watch it as if I were standing with a window between myself and the events.

Even as a child, I wanted to go back to the West to see the wagon trains leaving Saint Louis, or go back to Pennsylvania to see those huge forests that have since disappeared. Can you imagine going back to check out the huge trees in England. The ones cut down to make masks for sailing ships.

I’d like to see Pompeii just before the volcano explodes and suffocates the people of the town. Can you image being able to listen to English as it develops over time from when the Tales of Canterbury were written?

I don’t want to change anything just observe. I don’t know if I’m crazy but I enjoy dreaming about it and maybe one day it will be possible. Let me know what you think, I’d love to hear. Have a great dayl.
